We have a very exciting new update for you. We've been quietly beta-testing Twitter integration into PeopleMelt.com and we're finally ready to let you in on the secret.

From now on whenever you visit PeopleMelt.com and click on the 'Posts' tab at the top we can now show you Tweets from any Twitter user who has uploaded a picture and is also sharing his or her location.

That means you can check out even more cool content from other people in your local area... or you can see posts from the entire planet by simply typing in the name of the city or place you want to explore.

We've already been playing with the feature and last night's Super Bowl XLVII was a great example of how the integration works. Even now you can visit New Orleans using the address bar and check out tweets featuring pictures during the game and the fans who attended.

We invite you to check out PeopleMelt.com today, click on the Posts tab and see for yourself!

We've updated our terms of service. Please review the the changes here.

We just updated the servers with some new changes. Now you'll notice new things like a new logo and some other major updates.  Now you can see events on Home Page alongside your social posts. The events you can see on Home Page depend on the zoom level:
  • When you are beyond the 'region' zoom level (manually zooming out) you won't be able to see any events to keep things nice and simple.
  • When you between 'region' and 'area' zoom levels you'll see events which are currently in progress.
  • When you between 'area' and 'neighbourhood' zoom levels you can see events in progress and events which are coming in next two days.
  • When you below 'neighbourhood' you'll see events in progress and events which are coming in next 7 days.
The above changes have been implemented on the great feedback from the PeopleMelt.com community of users to help with usability. We're grateful for your time and effort to help PeopleMelt.com even better.

Vancouver Startup Launches PeopleMelt.com The Service That Enables People To Share Hyperlocal Experiences and Information in Real-Time

PeopleMelt.com empowers hyperlocal communities around the world to discover and share the most relevant content in real-time by location starting with the Vancouver area

VANCOUVER, BC. – November 13, 2012 – PeopleMelt.com is the new way to find personally relevant information in real-time. The service uses a map interface to filter social experiences, events, classified ads and dating opportunities by your location.

It is a completely free service that brings together key online features into a single, intuitive platform for the modern online user. Finding local information is as simple as browsing and scrolling on the map on your computer or mobile phone.

Online users no longer have to trawl through lists of text in order to find the information they want for their local community. All their most relevant hyperlocal information is displayed visually and enables them to search their neighbourhood, area or region to find upcoming and even historical events.

One of the most compelling features of the service is that is powered by your local community who upload content and experiences in the form of text updates, pictures or videos.

“PeopleMelt.com was created out of our CEO's experiences as a business traveller. He found that he’d arrive in new city and struggle to find things to do in my vicinity that were up-to-date,” said Serguei Rogov, CTO of PeopleMelt.com. “We realised that what everyone needs is a much more intuitive and dynamic way to find out what’s happening in their local area in real-time. PeopleMelt.com has been designed with that modern day requirement as the focus of the service.”

The service is currently being piloted in the Vancouver area with plans to expand to other regions. It is available as a website at www.peoplemelt.com and will also be available as a mobile app in the near future.

Visit our blog at http://web.peoplemelt.com/updates for the latest information and feature updates.
